Gzira Parish Church
The church dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel in the town is called "Tal-ebla" (literally "of the stone"). Its beginnings date back to an incident in 1902 when intoxicated sailors threw a stone at a façade, and the stone lodged in a holy shrine. A tiny chapel was established on the site and turned into a church in 1921. The annual village feast is held on the second Sunday in July.
Fort Manoel is a star-shaped fort located in the Marsamxett Harbour on the island of Malta. The fort was built in the early 18th century by the Order of Saint John and was named after Grand Master António Manoel de Vilhena.
